And speaking of things to read, I just published chapter five of WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT to my account on Vocal. You can check out all pieces of this story by looking at the Chapters category on the site. I am just realizing that this is a good story for the Halloween season as our main character, Coyote, finds himself kidnapped by a vampire and transported to a realm of monsters! This isn’t meant to be a scary story, though, and has plenty of humor to keep you laughing all the way through. While this story is quite short, finished at thirteen chapters, this world and the monster populations of it is something that I might frame a longer piece of work around in the future. If that’s something you’d like to see, let me know!

As for my reading journey, I haven’t quite been able to bring myself to jump back into the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini.
