RELAPSE in the Wild
While I was working on a series of press releases to announce Relapse to communities that I am a part of (colleges I attended, places I live or have lived, etc) on the advice of a friend from my writing group, I decided to conduct an internet search of my book. I found Relapse posted to some pretty random places where you can purchase it! There’s something surreal about seeing my creation posted to these websites. I thought it would be fun to share a few with you.
Amazon: This is perhaps the most obvious place where you’ll see Relapse, aside from directly on the publisher’s website. But I still thought it would be fun to share.
Ebay: Now this was wholly unexpected. I see that The Nile UK Shop has 5 copies of my book available and they are asking for payment in GBP. It looks like they are charging nearly double the price. They do have a 98.7% positive rating with over 32,000 customers and they offer free shipping anywhere in the UK. If you live in the UK, this could be a good option if you are unable to find the book elsewhere.
ThriftBooks: I love using this website to purchase for my personal reading. I can often find rare used books at a great price here. Mostly, I will use ThriftBooks if I need a specific edition of a book, particularly if it is within a series. It looks like they have 50 copies of Relapse listed brand new. Right now, ThriftBooks has some great special offers, including three free books, so if you are looking to grab your copy of Relapse with some great sales, this is a good place for you.
AbeBooks: This is a site that I’ve never used to buy books, unlike ThriftBooks. I do see that there are many different sellers on this website that have Relapse listed, including both new and used options. If you’ve ever used AbeBooks to stock your personal library, I’d love to hear about it. I am always looking for new places to purchase new books.
Barnes&Noble: Of course I had to check out Relapse on the biggest bookstore giant that remains standing in the United States. They offer both the paperback and the eBook version so you can download the book directly to your Nook. There’s also an option to check availability in your local Barnes&Noble so maybe you can find it on shelves! It looks like none of my local stores have it on shelf so unfortunately, I can’t share a photo of that. But I would love to see photos of Relapse on shelves in any store you find it at.
Books-A-Million: And then there’s the competing Books-A-Million. I used to go to this store all the time when I lived in New Hampshire. There doesn’t appear to be a BAM local to me now, which is unfortunate. However, they do have Relapse in stock, and you can even order it with the In Store Pickup option.
Waterstones: I am not entirely sure what this store is as I have never heard of it. They do offer Relapse for purchase though. It appears as though this is a bookstore located in the UK as their currency option is the pound and their shipping options are UK based. If you live in the UK and you know of this store, I’d love to hear more about it.
!ndigo: This is another place I have never heard of. They appear to be an eBook curator as they offer the Kobo eBook version of Relapse for purchase.
Walmart: Last but not least, I checked the Walmart website. As one of the largest retailers in the United States, I had to know if they were carrying Relapse. To my surprise, they are! You can snag the book here for a price that is a few cents cheaper than on Amazon or the publisher’s site.
Have you found Relapse at your favorite website or bookstore? I’d love to hear about it! Also, if you come across Relapse online at all and you’ve read the book, I would love your honest reviews and ratings. You can rate the book on Goodreads or wherever you may have purchased your copy. Your ratings and reviews really mean a lot to me as it helps to let other people know the book is worth picking up.
Now, onwards to continuing my final review of the manuscript for my second book. Keep checking back for updates on the release schedule!
